other voices, other phi-tunes

My colleague and fellow warbler-o-wisdom Richard Hanley--in much better voice that one might find on this page--has some wonderful original songs here.  I warmly recommend "What Mary Didn't Know" as an antidote to some of my own lesser efforts that might have poisoned you against philosophy songs!

I recently received this outstanding parody of a parody from some terrific students at Johns HopkinsMeet these wonderful women here--check out their CD cover and lyrics here, along with a musical hint to find their parody's source!

A note for those who want a bit more musical philosophy along with a little less parody.  Kris McDaniel, now on faculty at Syracuse University, offers several very good original songs here.  I recommend "Slap Me Happy--I'm Temporally Gappy" and "Meinongian Babe."

And now Kris and I have even more company!  Andrew Pessin, a philosopher at Connecticut College, has his own original songs here.  Give 'em a listen!

Is there a movement afoot?  Jack Simmons, an assistant professor at Armstrong Atlantic State University, sent me this delightful little gem (do you remember the theme to the cartoon series "Spiderman"?)!  Rhyming "pesky"  with "Dostoevsky"--am I ever jealous!

A personal favorite from a wonderful student--Larry Garcia--thank you so much Larry!

And now--hear me as many have at Blue Devils games.
