About

Visit us--the public is welcome here!  The library is located on the east side of Founder's Hall on the second floor. The facility was constructed in 1963 and renovated in 1965 after a fire.  Most recently, the library has added computer workstations, new lighting in 2010, and in the summer of 2013 added numerous comfortable, soft seating and ottomans.  In addition to providing access to collections and assistance in their use, the library is also dedicated to the process of learning and the production of knowledge.  To that end the library provides collaborative learning spaces, group study rooms, and makes digital equipment available for students to use in the development of multi-media projects.  One of the unique features of the UW-Manitowoc library is that the entire east side overlooks Lake Michigan, allowing comfortable views of the lake and campus grounds in all weather and seasons.
