The University of Wisconsin-Manitowoc has ten $2000 scholarships available for new adult students who apply and enroll for the 2014-15 academic year. The scholarships are being made possible from a generous donation from the Hooper Foundation to the UW-Manitowoc Foundation.
Scholarship applicants must be 22 years of age or older by September 2, 2014 and be a new incoming student. Students who have left UW-Manitowoc for a period of time may also qualify. Preference will be given to students with a 2.75 GPA from either high school or college or technical college academic coursework (non-GPA history will also be considered). Applicants must complete a UW admission application (www.apply.wisconsin.edu), and a Financial Aid Application (FAFSA-www.fafsa.gov) prior to August 8 so that financial need can be determined.
Scholarship applications are available online or from the Student Affairs Office on campus, 705 Viebahn Street. Applicants are encouraged to call 683-4707, or visit the UW-Manitowoc Student Affairs Office with questions or for assistance in completing any of the scholarship components.
