Presented to students who demonstrate outstanding leadership qualities and a commitment to their campus, the award was established in memory of former UW Colleges Chancellor Lee Grugel and covers one-half the cost of full-time tuition for the academic year.

On campus, Ebben is the incoming president for the UW-Manitowoc student government organization and is currently a member of Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society, Environmental Club, Outdoors Club and Diversity Club. She plans to transfer to UW-Stevens Point and major in marine biology.

Ebben hopes someday to end up in Australia to research the Great Barrier Reef and help with conservation efforts.
