October 20, 2018 - "Music of the Masters"
The LWE is celebrating 35 years of music making, and we are delighted that LWE founder and Conductor Emeritus Michael J. Arendt will return to the podium to help us celebrate, conducting Garth Neustadter’s Beacons, which was commissioned for LWE’s 30th anniversary. Also returning will be alto saxophonist David Lovrien and music by George Gershwin, as well as music by Beethoven (Egmont Overture), Holst (Second Suite for Military Band), and Richard Wagner (Elsa’s Procession).

December 1, 2018 - "Festival of Christmas"
By popular demand the LWE will present a traditional program this year, with music by James Curnow, Rejouissance, and Sergei Prokofiev, Troika. Maestro Michael J. Arendt will conduct music by Robert Smith, Christmas Declaration. The concert will feature vocals by Kim Hofmann and David Bourgeois, our traditional sing-along and narration by TV host Tom Zalaski.
January 19, 2019 - LWE & LBB "The Best of Broadway"
The Lakeshore Wind Ensemble and Lakeshore Big Band will feature hits of Broadway, including music from An American in Paris by Gershwin and Rogers and Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music.
March 2, 2019 - "The Winds of March"
We will highlight music of Great Britain, including Kenneth Alford’s Army of the Nile March and a classic band work by Haydn Wood based on folk music of the Isle of Mann, Mannin Veen. Maestro Arendt will return to conduct music commissioned by the band to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the LWE, Home of the Great Spirit by Dan Mitchell.
April 6, 2019 - Lakeshore Big Band, "Nothing But the Classics"
Reset your watch for the 30’s and 40’s, the Lakeshore Big Band is taking you from the COTTON CLUB to the GI CANTEEN and beyond with songs like Pennsylvania 6-5000, Satin Doll, Moonlight Serenade, and of course In the Mood.
May 4, 2019 - "A Journey Through Eastern Europe"
The winds from the East will blow in music from Greece, Czechoslovakia, Albania, and Romania. Join us for this beautiful journey! Works will include Aegean Festival Overture by Andreas Makris, Romanian Dances by Bela Bartok, and Armenian Dances, Part 2 by Alfred Reed.
